Rakesh Kishan, Managing Principal

Rakesh Kishan is Managing Principal with Trascent. He leads Trascent’s European and American operations and advises leading blue-chip companies on global, enterprise-wide corporate real estate and facilities managment (CRE / FM) initiatives to strengthen organizational effectiveness, create greater value to customers, and increase efficiency and innovation in FM through best practices.

In his current role, Mr. Kishan advises major corporations in virtually all aspects of the entire outsourcing life-cycle from structuring global FM outsourcing initiatives, to optimizing governance structures and processes for sustained realized improvements and implementing interventions to renew troubled relationships. In particular, he pioneers innovative approaches to structuring contract pricing to foster continued supplier innovation across each stage of the contract lifespan.

Mr. Kishan holds a Master in Business from Columbia University, Master in Government from the University of Pennsylvania, Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, and a BSc in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from the University of Delhi.

Experience Snapshot

As a senior management-consulting expert in the growing market for outsourced integrated FM services, Mr. Kishan spearheaded outsourcing initiatives on a global scale and within diverse portfolios of manufacturing plant, lab, and office settings of pharmaceutical, high-technology, manufacturing, and financial services sectors. He also negotiated substantial FM deals with individual contract values of up to a billion dollars. Mr. Kishan has directed the definition of the three stages of maturity of a CRE and FM organization and the critical enabling steps needed to enhance the value to the enterprise.

Mr. Kishan has served as a guest speaker at several leading CRE and FM industry events such as the CoreNet Global Summits, ISPE and IFMA chapter conferences. He has been featured as a keynote speaker at BIFM and his expert insights frequently appear in distinct media outlets across the US, UK, Canada, and Japan. He has contributed thought leadership perspectives on issues related to Real Estate for CFO Magazine and he is also the chair for the annual Trascent CRE / FM Conferences, which are attended by top senior CRE / FM executives.

Mr Kishan is a member of both CoreNet Global and International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).
