Nate Erpestad, Managing Director

Nate Erpestad is a Managing Director of Trascent Management Consulting with more than 12 years of engineering, industry, outsourcing and advisory experience. He has advised and managed projects for multiple global organizations in corporate real estate and facilities management, with an emphasis in sourcing strategy, structuring contract models, governance design, performance management, as well as negotiations. He has worked in all regions of the globe and has negotiated over $5 billion in total contract volume, resulting in contractual savings in excess of $500 million.

Nate received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with high honorfrom the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Experience Snapshot

Mr. Erpestad managed a global real estate, project management and facilities management (RE/PM/FM) strategy and sourcing initiative with total contract value in excess of $3.5 billion for a client in the technology sector. Key elements of the project included an in-depth current state assessment of the CRE organization, development of a multi-functional contract model and global RFP strategy, facilitation of the RFP process, negotiations, and implementation of new supplier agreements.

He advised a global pharmaceutical company on the development of a “3rd generation” sourcing strategy. Scope encompassed gathering executive stakeholder input to align on business imperatives across range of functions and responsibilities within RE/FM group, a peer study with 15 3rd generation practitioners of FM outsourcing focusing on scope for next generation and the design of a “co-solution” approach with incumbent suppliers to attain initiative objectives outside a formal RFP process. Mr. Erpestad served as the primary advisor and project manager for client’s €300 million outsourcing initiative that involved 30 sites across eight European countries.
