Monte Marcum, Managing Director
Monte Marcum is a Managing Director at Trascent with almost 20 years of strategic sourcing and global supply chain management experience. He brings a broad, innovative perspective, providing advice on outsourced operations and service delivery strategy development.
Mr. Marcum’s specific areas of facilities management expertise include leading complex contract negotiations, sourcing strategies & processes, organizational design, and competitive benchmarking. Throughout his career, he led efforts to source and negotiate more than $7 billion in total contract value for integrated facilities management and another $1 billion across real estate services and other categories.
Mr. Marcum received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University, receiving Magna Cum Laude recognition from both institutions. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Mr. Marcum developed a broad FM sourcing strategy and supplier market assessments for leading global industrial company’s North American and European operations for over 200 site locations, facilitating workshops, managing scope of work and leading client deliverables while executing against a strategy on a 2nd generation outsourcing engagement.
Furthermore, Monte lead several of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies’ 1st and 2nd generation integrated facilities management initiatives; leading contract negotiations, contract governance and implementation with five-year total contract values ranging from $400 to $850 million. He served as client director for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company and managed 2nd generation outsourcing initiatives for FM and PM with a $800 million total contract value over 5 years resulting in a 19 percent annual savings rate.
